DemNET has been repeatedly engaged by custom home builders and luxury remodelers over the past decade, and has often had a key role in bringing their technology visions to life. We have provided answers to some frequently asked questions below:

Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes, we carry general liability insurance, and workers' compensation insurance, as well as appropriate insurance for our vehicles. Certificates available on request.

Q: Are you licensed?
A: We are a licensed Security Alarm System Contractor. Unfortunately, the State of Michigan does not offer licenses for other power-limited data communications or Audio/Video cabling or systems installation.

Q: I have an electrician that handles my low voltage work for me. Why should we engage you?
A: Electricians are very good at traditional electrical work. Some have ventured into the smart technology world, and a subset of those who have done so are good at basic technology integration, however we live in that world. We have access to premium and purpose-built products and tools that most electricians do not. We know the subtle installation nuances that will make or break a premium theater installation, or cause interference on gigabit networks. Our staff of engineers, system designers, and network technicians go well above and beyond the level of most electricians. That said, we know what our expertise is, and what it is not. We are not electricians, and we do not engage in (nor are we licensed to engage in) traditional electrical work with line voltage. We work closely with electricians, but smart system installation and integration is all we do. If you want truly custom, integrated systems installed in your homes that will win you more clients, choose us.

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: DemNET has been in business since 1998 as a sole proprietorship. Its structure was recently changed to an LLC as it experienced significant growth.

Q: Do you offer any technology packages we can offer as upgrades to our homes?
A: While we are mainly a custom integrator, we have created packages for some of our builder partners, and are happy to create new ones based on the specific wants and needs of your clientele.

Q: What is your warranty period on installations?
A: As an ICC Elite Installer with an ICC-Trained Master Technician on staff, we are able to offer a manufacturer-backed lifetime performance warranty for qualifying network systems. For all other installations, DemNET offers a 3-year limited warranty post-occupancy on all new integrated systems. DemNET will also assist clients with product manufacturer warranty claims, but because of the high quality components usually specified for our projects, this is a very rare occurrance. We are an authorized dealer for many brands and types of equipment, and as such, full manufacturer warranties apply to all equipment procured and installed by DemNET.
