The Process

At DemNET, there is no such thing as a "pre-packaged" or "canned" system. Every experience and every client is unique. For those reasons, the only standard element, aside from our committment to you and our unwavering attention to detail, is our project process. Here's what to expect when engaging DemNET for your technology needs:

Part I: Initial Consultation

Technology projects are a reflection of you and your lifestyle. They are just as much a part of a custom home as the finishes, material, and architectural details you select. Our goal is to get to know you and your wants, needs, and wishes. We take the time to listen, and use our experience and background to begin envisioning the perfect solution based on your lifestyle and desires. You will meet your dedicated project representative, and begin your personalized 1:1 relationship as your project officially kicks off.

Part II: System Design

After meeting you and getting to know you in the context of your technology needs, we leverage our extensive background and experience in smart home technology to begin sketching and piecing together your perfect technology solution. We then present our concepts to you: examples of what could be. From here, you and your dedicated project representative begin selecting the components and subsystems that best fit your needs. If necessary, portions of the system are re-engineered based on updated input and any constraints that are discovered.

Part III: Rough In

The first phase of construction involves expertly installing the most basic parts of your new technology. Wires, cables, racks, and nondescript boxes that will eventually hold critical pieces of technology such as control keypads, touch-screens, docking stations, sensors, antennas, and more are all installed. Drills, saws, hammers, ladders, scaffolding, and spools of cable often characterize the rough-in phase of a project.

Part IV: Trim Out

The Trim Out phase of the project involves dressing up the roughed-in components with the finishing touches, such as keypads, touch screens, wall plates, diaplays, speakers, cameras, specialized furniture, and more. Depending on the scale of your project, several things may take place between the Rough In and Trim Out phases, such as drywall, finish carpentry, painting and staining, flooring, and more.

Part V: System Configuration

When a project involves a broad, diverse selection of technologies, each component may not know what is expected of it, or how to talk to its neighbors. Part of any system installation is configuration, where we 'educate' system components, and unleash the true power of a connected system. Our system programmers introduce each component to each other, and, much like a symphony conductor, composes an elegant opera from the system, culminating in a crescendo of incredible, smart, coordinated performance: bringing a smile to your face, just like it's supposed to.

Part VI: The Hand-Off

After tweaking every detail, and ensuring each and every part of your system is just right, we hand off control to you. Just like receiving the keys to a new car or a new home, your dedicated project representative will walk you through the operation of your technology, and answer any questions you may have.

Part VII: Enjoyment

Relax, and enjoy life as technology enhances your day-to-day experiences. Throw a party, show your new system off to friends and family, and know that DemNET is standing behind their work, should any unlikely event take place that negatively affects enjoyment of your system.
